A motion by Tracey, supported by Haig to accept the November 12, 2002 minutes as read.

CORRESPONDENCE:

A public hearing will be held at the Cheboygan County Road Commission office on January 9th about abandoning Robert Lewis access property on Douglas Lake.

The University of Michigan Biological Station sent a letter stating that they were donating $1,000.00 towards a new fire truck.  Munro Township received the check.

Robert and Gwen Kuehn of Douglas Lake wrote a letter stating that they enjoyed seeing the new fire hall when they came to vote in the General Election, November 5th. They like the location, the handicap accessibility, no stairs to climb, and the lighting was very bright to see their ballots.  They would like to see all elections held at he fire hall.

Tracey made the motion, supported by Dotski to pay the monthly bills amounting to $3,079.70.  Motion carried.

OLD BUSINESS:  K.P. Neuman submitted final payment on the fire hall.  Ginop reported that there are a few small things that need to be done, like change the lock on the front door, fix the women’s bathroom ceiling.  Kevin said there was no problem in waiting for the final payment.

Scott Wendt of the Cheboygan County Planning Commission says that the next planning meeting will be Wednesday, December 18th at 7:30 p.m.  It’s important that the groups get the information on the German and Denmark turbines.

NEW BUSINESS:  Antkoviak asked the board about purchasing a new computer for his assessing work.  He stated that the software would be hooked up to the Cheboygan County Equalization Department.  Ginop suggested that he makes sure that the system is large enough to handle the software and that he gets support for the software and hardware. Ginop said she did not think there was any money budgeted for a computer in this fiscal year budget.

Antkoviak said it was too late for this year’s tax roll, he could wait and request a computer in next year’s budget.  Cost for the software from BS & A would be $1800.00.  Dotski made a motion to purchase a new computer as long as its in the current budget.  Haig supported the motion.

The members of the Board of Review, Richard Buehler, Robert Lewis and Dale Dotski were sworn in by the Clerk.

Tracey made the motion to adjourn the meeting, supported by Haig.  Meeting was adjourned at 8:13 p.m.
