PRESENT:  Antkoviak, Ginop, Dotski, Tracey & Haig

RESIDENTS PRESENT: Richard Buehler, Gary Murphy, Wil Mandrick, Don Rader, Frieda Brandau, Barbara Wheelock, Paul Nows, Walter Nows

A motion was made by Tracey to accept the July 8, 2003 minutes, supported by Haig.  Motion carried.

CORRESPONDENCE:   The Cheboygan County Road Commission sent the township a survey, asking to be filled out and sent back.

Gary Murphy of Silver Strand Road wishes to split his property.  Ginop will mail Mr. Murphy a land division application to be filled out before the township board can approve land splits.

PAYMENT OF BILLS: A motion by Tracey to pay the bills amounting to $7618.46, supported by Dotski. Motion carried.

NEW BUSINESS:    Mrs. Frieda Brandau asked the board who was responsible for a dead tree in the cemetery. The board will inspect the tree in question and get someone to cut or trim the tree.

Mrs. Brandau also asked about the furnace that isn’t working.  Antkoviak said lighting the pilot light can be tricky.  Ginop will call Spray’s Plumbing & Heating and have them service the furnace.

Antkoviak reported that he traveled the township’s roads, he thought they were in good shape.  Some residents did not agree.  Paul Nows said Silver Strand Road needs an extension on the culvert before someone drives off the road.  Tracey said Indian Trail Road is still bad, Dotski said N. Extension is bad also.

Tracey made a motion to adjourn the meeting, supported by Dotski.   Motion carried.

The next MTA meeting will be held at Munro Township Hall on August 28, 2003.
