MUNRO TOWNSHIP BOARD MEETING
June 8, 2004

PRESENT: Antkoviak, Ginop, Dotski, Tracey, Haig

OTHERS PRESENT: Paul Nows, Don Rader, Wil Mandrick, Gary Kramer

Supervisor Antkoviak called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m.

Pledge to the flag was recited.

Tracey made the motion to accept the minutes of May 11, 2003. Supported by Haig.

CORRESPONDENCE: Antkoviak received an estimate to repair and seal coat MacArthur Road from the end of the current black top to the end of the turn around past Vincent Road. Cost is $70,563.35. Questions were asked why the road would cost so much more than the $10,000.00 spent on Weadock Road last year. Ginop will have Ed Ginop look at the figures.

Tracey made the motion to pay the bills amounting to $8,519.76, supported by Dotski. Motion carried.

NEW BUSINESS:

• Dust control – Paul Nows reported that there are four foot holes in Silver Strand Road. A grader, not just a float truck, needs to be used on the roads before any brine is laid. Antkoviak will contact the County Road Commission.
• Trash needs to be picked up at the park, Ginop will ask PAC Sanitation for a small dumpster this year.
• It was brought to the board’s attention that over night campers have been staying at the Douglas Lake Park. No camping is allowed, Ginop will ask Charles Beckwith to patrol the park in the evenings.
• Ginop needs another election inspector for the August Primary election. Judy Ardune and Susan Ball have been asked to serve as election inspectors.
• There is a large hole outside the township hall. After inspection, it looks like the old well has caved in. Antkoviak will ask The Well Driller to inspect the old well and get it covered in.

OLD BUSINESS: None

Tracey made the motion to adjourn the meeting, supported by Haig. Motion carried. The meeting was adjourned at 8:40 p.m.
