MUNRO TOWNSHIP BOARD MEETING
February 8, 2005

PRESENT: Antkoviak, Ginop, Dotski, Tracey, Mandrick
OTHERS PRESENT: Richard Buehler, Don Rader, Mike Robinson, Ed Ginop, Paul Nows, Walter Nows, Frank Spezia.

Supervisor Antkoviak called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. Pledge to the flag was recited.

Tracey made the motion to accept the January 11, 2005 minutes, supported by Mandrick. Motion carried.

Ginop explained that the school elections will be conducted by County and Township Clerks. Munro residents who live in the Pellston School District will vote at the McKinley Twp. Hall in Pellston. Cheboygan School District will vote at the Inverness Twp. Hall.

The township board authorized the Clerk, Linda Ginop to conduct the school elections.

PAC Sanitation sent a bid for the annual trash clean up day. Tracey suggested that Republic be asked to bid also. Ginop said J & N Sanitation asked to bid but she did not receive any fax from them.

A grant application by Munro Township was applied to the State of Michigan to receive federal HAVA funds to purchase optical scan voting systems.

Nemcog held their meeting today at the Emmet Co. Airport. The Lower Black River Water Shed Council plans were discussed.

Cheboygan Co. Road Commission sent a letter stating that the township has funds available 
for 2005. Matching Monies allocated $1,919.13, unmatched monies allocated $6,701.87.

Cheboygan Co. Road Commission will have a Spring meeting, Monday, Feb. 21, 2005. Paul Nows, Walter Nows and Howard Gilbertson will represent Munro Twp.

Paul Nows asked about sending out a letter to property owners on Silver Strand Road, asking if they would be interested in paving Silver Strand Road.

Mike Robinson reported that he attended the Cheboygan County planning Commission meeting. Mr. Petersmark was granted his side variance for a garage.

Cheboygan Construction Dept. issued 3500 permits for year 2004. Munro had 126 permits.

BILLS: Tracey made the motion to pay the bills amounting to $4,816.22. Mandrick supported the motion. Motion carried.

First meeting on the 2005-06 budget will be March 8th, second hearing will be March 21st.

Board of Review dates will be Monday, March 14th 3-9 p.m. Tuesday, March 15th 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Tracey made a motion to adjourn, Dotski second the motion. The meeting was adjourned at 8:15 p.m.
