MUNRO TOWNSHIP BOARD MEETING
August 8, 2006
Munro Hall, 7:30 p.m.

PRESENT: Antkoviak, Ginop, Tracey, Mandrick

ABSENT: Dotski

GUESTS/RESIDENTS: George Bliss, Walter Nows, Paul Nows

Supervisor Antkoviak called the meeting to order at 7:37 p.m.

MINUTES: Mandrick made the motion to accept the July 11, 2006 minutes, supported by Tracey. Motion carried.

BILLS: Ginop questioned Weld-Tech bill for a handicap ramp for the back door. Antkoviak explained that welders are charging high prices these days. Ginop received 2 bids on the fence for handicap parking at the back of the hall. Michigan Lake Products quoted $977.39; Robinson Fence Co. quoted $720.00. After looking over the area, Mr. Robinson suggested adding the 5 foot section to connect to the hall, so no one could fall down the steep bank. Added cost was $75.00, for a total of $795.00. Ginop made the motion to pay the monthly bills amounting to $7,272.73. Mandrick Supported the motion, motion carried.

CORRESPONDENCE

• James & Diane Sparks of Bryant Road are appearing before the Planning and Zoning Board to remove an out house and build a second story to their garage.
• Cheboygan County Road Commission subtracted the brine bill off of Munro's unmatched funds.

OLD BUSINESS

• Spray's Landscaping planted the 10 trees in the cemetery.
• The 2 rail plastic fence was installed by Robinson Fence Co. in time for the election.
• The Treasurer is already using her new Dell computer.

NEW BUSINESS

• Mandrick went down to the Douglas Lake Park to check on camp fires. The fire pit in the woods has been cleaned up but someone built a fire near the beach using fallen tree branches.
• Antkoviak attended the Cheboygan County Humane Society Meeting; he's not sure what the problem is with Shelter Director, Mary Talaske and the Humane Society Board.

ADJOURNMENT
Tracey made the motion to adjourn the meeting, supported by Mandrick. The meeting was adjourned at 8:15 p.m.
