CORRESPONDENCE:
- Attorney Tim MacArthur sent a final buy-out agreement for the Inverness Fire Department property on Woiderski Road. Beaugrand and Inverness Townships are going forward with their plans to tear down the old main fire station and build a new station. The two townships will buy out Munro and Hebron Township’s share of the property and finance the new building themselves. Supervisor and Clerk signed the agreement.
- DEQ granted a permit for Frank Beavers of Douglas Lake for shoreline protection.
OLD BUSINESS
- Supervisor Antkoviak told the board he had a bid from Pat Dodd for $1200.00 to cut down dead trees in the cemetery. Ginop stated that a certificate of insurance is needed. It was decided that another bid should be submitted. Antkoviak will ask Brothers Tree Service and Lance Williams for bids.
- Antkoviak and Ginop reported that they reviewed the Douglas Lake Road speed limit signs. The Michigan State Police said there are enough signs posted already. Bob Lake, Cheboygan County Road Commission foreman, told them that the problem is actually on the Emmet County line coming into Cheboygan County.
- Paul Nows would like a real grader, not a truck with a blade to grade Silver Strand Road. Don Tracey would like his Indian Trail Road graded also.
NEW BUSINESS
- Ginop asked if anyone was interested in an absent voter ballot application for the November 4, 2008 general election.
- Ken Paquet is running for a 4 year term as a Cheboygan County Road Commissioner.
ADJOURNMENT
- Tracey made the motion to adjourn the meeting, supported by Mandrick. The meeting was adjourned at 8:30 p.m.
