MUNRO TOWNSHIP BOARD MEETING
February 10, 2004

PRESENT: Antkoviak, Ginop, Dotski, Tracey, Haig

OTHERS PRESENT: Ed Ginop, Paul Nows, Walter Nows, Jackie Burnett, Quinter Burnett, Richard Buehler, Wil Mandrick, Don Rader, Mike Robinson.

The meeting was called to order by Supervisor Antkoviak at the fire hall at 7:30 p.m.

Pledge to the flag was recited.

Antkoviak reported about attending the Michigan Township Association Convention in Lansing. His assessor’s certification class was 6 hours long.

Tracey made the motion to pay the bills amounting to $7,910.76, Dotski supported the motion.

Tracey made the motion to accept the minutes of January 8, 2004. Haig supported the motion.

State Revenue Sharing is being cut across the state. Munro is seeing a decrease in the Sales Tax by almost half the amount received last year.

Ginop reported she has not received any bids for trash day.

Board of Review, March 1st organizational meeting, 7:30 p.m. at Antkoviak’s home. March 8th 3-9 p.m. March 9th 10 a.m.-4 p.m. at the fire hall on the Levering Road.

About 50 people in Munro Township ended up paying more taxes because they did not qualify for homestead exemption.

The governor cut taxes for fire protection.

Presque Isle electric is putting in new poles & power lines on Silver Strand Road and MacArthur Road.

Culvert needs extension at Mike Robinson’s corner of Silver Strand and Van Roads.

Tracey made motion to adjourn, supported by Haig, meeting was adjourned at 8:20 p.m.
