MUNRO TOWNSHIP BOARD MEETING
March 13, 2007
Munro Fire Hall, 7:30 p.m.

PRESENT:

Antkoviak, Ginop, Dotski, Tracey & Mandrick.

OTHERS PRESENT:

Walter Nows, Paul Nows, George Bliss, Quinter and Jackie Burnett, Keith Ginop.

The meeting was called to order by Supervisor Antkoviak at 7:30 p.m. at the fire hall located at 8872 Levering Road. Pledge to the flag was recited.

MINUTES:

Tracey made the motion to accept the minutes of the February 13, 2007 meeting, supported by Mandrick. Motion carried.

FEBRUARY BILLS:

Tracey made the motion to pay the monthly bills amounting to $6,798.24, supported by Dotski. Motion carried.

CORRESPONDENCE

Cheboygan County Road Commission sent a spread sheet showing what each township should receive for road money this year.

Mandrick presented a DNR fish study of Munro Lake.

Mandrick made a motion to accept PAC Sanitation’s proposal of $33.00 per yard for the Annual Cleanup Day, supported by Tracey. Motion carried.

NEW BUSINESS:

1. A green, street number sign should be purchased for the fire hall on Levering Road. Mandrick reported that residents should contact 911 and make sure their address is correct in their system before an emergency happens and the police-fire-ambulance service is called to their home.
    
2. There are some errors on the Planning and Zoning Map that Ginop presented to the board last month. Ginop said that the Planning and Zoning Commission will be working on this update for a few months, the Township is being asked to review and have input on the new master plan for the county.

OLD BUSINESS

The first hearing on the 2007-2008 proposed budgets were discussed.

Board of Review had just a few complaints this year. Dotski could not attend the Board of Review so Supervisor Antkoviak asked Matthew Bonnett to sit on the board. Ginop said she had no problem with Matthew Bonnett but it is the Township Board who appoints the Board of Review members, not the Supervisor. The Township Board should appoint an alternating member in case one member can not attend. Appointment should be made before the July Board of Review.

ADJOURNMENT

Tracey made the motion to adjourn the meeting, supported by Mandrick. The meeting was adjourned at 8:50 p.m.
