Munro Township Board Meeting
April 8, 2008
Munro Township Fire Hall, 7:30 p.m
PRESENT: Ginop, Dotski, Tracey and Mandrick ABSENT: Antkoviak
OTHERS PRESENT: Jackie and Quinter Burnett, Walter Nows, Ed Ginop, Brian Ostwald and Cheboygan County Commissioner Linda Socha.
The meeting was called to order by Trustee Donald Tracey at 7:30 p.m. at the fire station located at 8872 Levering Road. Pledge to the flag was recited.
MINUTES - Mandrick made the motion, supported by Dotski to accept the March 11, 2008 meeting minutes as presented. Motion carried.
Mandrick made the motion to approve the 2007-2008 Financial Statements and the 2008-2009 Budgets for all funds, supported by Dotski. Motion carried.
BILLS – Dotski made the motion, supported by Mandrick to pay the March bills amounting to $11,832.89. Motion carried.
OLD BUSINESS – None
NEW BUSINESS
- Cheboygan County Commissioner, Linda Socha reported that the county was having new aerial maps done. The maps will show new construction and help the assessors with their tax assessing.
- Ginop received a quote to have the floor in the township hall refinished. She also got quotes for woodwork and the stairway. Walt Nows will give Ginop a name of someone in Boyne City that did his floors. Lights in the hall are very dim, Ginop showed the board a new bulb that is only 65 watts but is as bright as three 100 watt bulbs. If the bulb will fit in the old light fixture, it would save buying new light fixtures.
- Ginop asked Mike Charboneau for a quote to spray paint the hall ceiling and fix the drywall in the women’s bathroom.
- There was a discussion on the Cheboygan County Commissioner’s decision to expand the Cheboygan County Road Commissioners from three to five. The board and residents feel that the decision should stay and not be changed due to pressure from the Road Commission.

A motion by Mandrick supported by Ginop to adjourn the meeting. The meeting was adjourned at 9:02 p.m.
